As an author who writes in multiple first-person viewpoints, I can attest to the difficulty of developing distinct character voices. One helpful technique is to journal in each character’s point of view. Journal about milestones in your character’s life, how your character deals with difficult feelings, your character’s favorite things, and significant events in your character’s youth. If you know your characters well, they will come alive on the page and leave a stronger impact on your readers.
